Simple Steps To Book Your Wedding Cake

At Let Them Eat Cakes we want to help make your wedding day truly unforgettable. We’ll take the time to understand your requirements, so that we can design a dream cake tailored just to your tastes.

​Every step is carefully planned and thought through, leaving you to simply come up with a vision, relax, and watch your ideas come to life. Don't worry, we’ll be with you every step of the way to answer questions and address concerns. 

Planning a wedding cake can seem daunting, but at Let Them Eat Cakes we make it simple and stress-free! ​

Step 1: Initial Enquiry. To get the process started, let us know a few of your cake ideas, or even colour and design elements of your wedding day. Also please let us know your venue, wedding date, and number of guests. Fill out our contact form at the bottom of this page to easily send us the all important information.

Step 2: Consultation. Every project begins with a consultation which can be held over the phone or video call—whichever you prefer. We will discuss your aesthetic styles, timing, budget and flavours. We encourage you to share any images to help us better understand your vision. Together, we’ll create a design that truly reflects your unique style, colours, and themes. After the call, you’ll receive a final quote and cake specification. We will work with you to stay as close within your budget and will provide alternative methods to meet your prefered aesthetic. 

Step 3: Tasting. To sample our most popular flavours (Classic Vanilla, Zesty Lemon, Chocolate Fudge, and Salted Caramel), try our convenient sample boxes by post (you can also choose to substitute any flavours). Easily order your tasting box through the link below. 

Step 4: Securing Your Booking. To confirm your reservation in our schedule, you have two options. You can either make a payment of 50% of the total price. Alternatively, if you require more time to finalise the design but wish to secure Let Them Eat Cakes for your wedding date, we can reserve your date for up to 3 months with a £150 retainer using the link below (fully refundable against the final cake cost). We can then initiate the design process, potentially providing a hand-drawn sketch of your cake if needed. To secure your chosen date beyond 3 months, we require a signed contract along with a 50% deposit. The final 50% payment is due four weeks prior to the wedding.

Step 5: Creating your Wedding Cake.  Four weeks before your wedding date is when your remaining balance is due. This then begins our creation phase.

For weddings within the next 9 months, we offer a 6-week reservation in our diary with our 'hold the date' deposit. 

For weddings happening beyond 9 months, our 'hold the date' deposit reserves your date in our diary for 90 days, giving you more time to plan. .
