Wedding cake prices can differ significantly depending on the size of your cake and any additional decorations, like handcrafted sugar flowers or specialist decor, which will be priced accordingly.
Below, you'll find the starting prices for my most popular cake sizes, of course larger and smaller cakes are available too. For a more accurate and personalised quote please fill the enquiry form here Price depends mainly on the complexity of the design, number of servings required and the size of the portions you would like to offer guests. As a general guide, we recommend budgeting around £7.50 per guest (or £4 if you prefer to serve finger portions) for a decorated, delivered, and fully set-up wedding cake. Please note, this is an approximation—elaborate decorations, intricate sugar flowers, or long delivery distances might increase the cost. |

What Affects the Final Price?
There are a few critical decisions that will influence the final price of your wedding cake:
1) Portion Size: What size portions would you like to serve your guests? If you are planning on serving the cake after a three-course sit down meal, you may be happy for your guests to have smaller finger slices with their coffees. The finger slice is the classic 'wedding' portion and is the usual size to serve your guests, it is 1”x 1”x height of tier, a dessert portion is 2"x 1" x height of tier. At Let Them Eat Cakes we mostly offer two heights of cake - classic rise 4" tall (2 layers of cake, with one layer of filling) or tall-rise 6" tall (3 layers of cake with 2 layers of filling). 2) Design Complexity: How elaborate and intricate do you envision your cake design? If minimalist is more your style then this could be good for your budget as intricate and complex designs will naturally add to the price. If you are after something very minimalist in style, you may want to check if the style you are after comes under our budget Simple and Elegant Range (available during off peak wedding season) 3) Floral Decoration: Would you prefer to decorate with natural, silk, or sugar flowers? Sugar flowers are mini works of art, beautiful, intricate and full of detail - they can be saved forever as a momento, however the sheer workmanship they take will add to your final cost. Silk ‘real feel’ flowers are a great alternative, and don’t add too much to your overall cost. Real flowers provided by your florist can be added to cakes, however there is some knowhow needed in applying them to the cake to ensure safety - that's where we come in! |
