As a general guide, couples usually budget around £7.50 per guest for a decorated, delivered, and fully set-up wedding cake, or £4 per guest if serving finger portions. Please note this is an approximation, as intricate sugar flowers, elaborate designs, or long delivery distances may increase the cost.

​What Affects the Final Price?  

There are a few key decisions that will influence the final price of your wedding cake:
1) Portion Size
Would you like to serve your guests smaller finger portions or larger dessert portions?

• A finger portion (the traditional wedding size) is 1” x 1” x height of the tier, perfect after a three-course meal with coffee.
  
• A dessert portion is 2” x 1” x height of the tier, a more generous slice if you’re not serving a full meal.
  

At Let Them Eat Cakes, we usually offer two cake heights:

• Classic-rise (4” tall): two layers of cake with one layer of filling.
  
• Tall-rise (6” tall): three layers of cake with two layers of filling.
  

2) Design Complexity
Do you prefer a clean, minimalist look or something more intricate? Minimalist designs tend to be more budget-friendly, while highly detailed or elaborate work will naturally increase the price. If you’re looking for something very simple, you may also want to explore our Simple & Elegant range, available during the off-peak season.
3) Floral Decoration
Would you like natural, silk, or handcrafted sugar flowers?

• Sugar flowers are beautiful, detailed keepsakes but add significantly to the price due to the craftsmanship involved.
  
• Silk ‘real feel’ flowers are a lovely alternative that are more cost-effective.
  
• Fresh flowers supplied by your florist can also be added, and I’ll ensure they’re applied safely and securely to your cake.
