Simple Steps To Book Your Wedding Cake

At Let Them Eat Cakes, we love to help make your wedding day unforgettable. We’ll take the time to really understand what you want, so we can design a cake that’s perfectly tailored to your tastes.

Every step of the process is carefully thought out, so all you need to do is share your vision, sit back, and watch your ideas come to life. Don’t worry – we’ll be with you throughout to answer any questions and help with anything you need.

Planning a wedding cake can feel a bit overwhelming, but at Let Them Eat Cakes, we make it easy, fun, and totally stress-free!

Step 1: Initial Enquiry
To kick things off, let us know a few of your ideas—whether it's the overall look, colour scheme, or design elements from your wedding day. Be sure to include your venue, wedding date, and guest numbers. Fill out our contact form below, and we’ll gather all the essential details to get started.

Step 2: Consultation
Every project begins with a consultation, which can be done via phone or video call—whichever works best for you. We’ll chat through your style, budget, timeline, and flavours. Feel free to share any inspiration photos to help us get a better idea of your vision. While we don’t replicate other designers' cakes, we’re happy to draw inspiration from designs you love. Together, we’ll craft a cake that reflects your personal style and wedding themes. After the call, we’ll send over a final quote and cake specification. We’ll work with you to make sure we stay within your budget, and suggest alternatives to help achieve your dream design.


Step 3: Tasting
Once you've chosen your favourite design, it’s time to taste! You can sample our most popular flavours—Classic Vanilla, Zesty Lemon, Chocolate Fudge, and Salted Caramel—by ordering one of our tasting boxes. You can also swap flavours as you like. Simply order your tasting box via the link below and start enjoying!


Step 4: Securing Your Booking
To lock in your date, you have two options. You can pay 50% of the total cost, or if you need a little more time to finalise the design, we can hold your date for up to 3 months with a £150 refundable retainer. Once you're ready to proceed, we'll begin the design process and provide a hand-drawn sketch of your cake, if needed. To secure your date beyond 3 months, we’ll need a signed contract and 50% deposit. The final balance is due four weeks before the big day.


Step 5: Creating Your Wedding Cake
Four weeks before your wedding, the final balance is due, and the cake creation phase begins. That’s when the magic happens!
