If the wedding party is large and everyone is having a full meal then generally it is acceptable to serve 75% of guests. Sometimes couples like to keep the top tier aside and use it for an intimate family tea the next day for instance (or kept frozen for first baby's christening)
There are two portion sizes we use as standard when referring to wedding cake servings, the first is a dessert portion of 2” x 1” x 4” slices, which is an ample and generous size. For visualisation - think of a deck of cards - thats about the size of a standard piece, now half it length wise - that's a finger token piece. If you are planning on serving the cake after a three course sit down meal, you may be happy for your guests to have smaller finger slices with their coffees, in which case a finger coffee slice of 1”x 1”x 4” may be the right size for your guests. You will of course, get more portions from your cake if you choose this size. Be sure to let the venue, or who ever is cutting your cake what size you have chosen for your guests.
Sugar flowers are bespoke to your design, hand created by me and will truly set your cake off beautifully and will also last as a memento for you to keep forever? Silk or faux flowers can serve as a budget friendly alternative. Fresh flowers can also be used, if your florist approves them as safe to use on the cake (please check as some types of fresh flowers are toxic or sprayed with insecticide).
Delivery is free for the first 10 miles and £1.55 a mile thereafter. Delivery into Central London will incur additional costs.
